White Rock Lake, August 2013
We joined the NCLR (NorCal Land Rover Club) for an adventure to White Rock Lake near Lake Tahoe for a fantastic viewing of the Perseidus meteor shower in August 2013. Being away from the lights of the city and a wide open Sierra sky gave us an incredible viewing of the meteor shower. It was estimated over 60 an hour could be seen all over the sky. We took a nap with the kids early and emerged from the tent around midnight to sit by the lake and view the show. It was a great weekend filled with camping, 4-wheeling, kayaking and friends.
